Tour Length: 60 minutes

Awaken your senses to some of the sights, sounds and smells of daily life for the Gibsons, a 19th century Scottish settler family.  Delve into the deeper complexities and hidden histories associated with David Gibson's work as a land surveyor and agent in colonization as you explore his diaries, letters and surveys.  Join in lively discussions with staff as you explore how the working of farm and household were inextricably tied to a land reshaped by colonization.   Consider the questions many Canadians ponder today when they realize they share land once wholly held in the stewardship of first nations peoples.

Proof of vaccination is not required for participation in indoor or outdoor museum programming (in accordance with the Reopening Ontario Act). Active screening, contact tracing, masking and physical distancing are in place to provide a safe museum experience for our guests and staff.
